Innomentarium participated NordGen’s annual forest conference in Bergen on 8-9 September. About 50 forest sector researchers, breeders and managers from more than 10 countries attended the conference. The use of non-native tree species to support the adaptation of northern forests to climate change was one of the main topics in the event.
Innomentarium presented the study on analyzing the germination of Norwegian spruce seeds based on X-ray images captured using the SeediX device and our development of machine vision tools based on study results. Predicting seed germination potential from x-ray images of seeds got a lot of interest among conference participants.
